At its top is a gracious, modern living area where white couches and chairs beckon you to settle in and take in the sea view from a wall of glass doors that can be open to let in the gentle trade winds (or closed to let the air-conditioner do its job). The smooth limestone floors feel cool underfoot, and the high, vaulted ceiling lends it a sense of airiness.

Several steps rise up from there, leading to a chic master suite, which has more walls of windows on two sides and even in the bathroom and oversize shower, as well as its own terrace. In this bedroom you’ll find a king bed under a dark wood ceiling that imparts a feeling of coziness, a small sofa and a wide, slim desk with a beguiling sea view. A second bedroom on the main level, also off the living room, has an euro king bed, with astounding views, and a large ensuite bathroom. The gourmet kitchen is also on this level, with a pass-through window to allow conversation while cooking and food to easily be sent out to the living area and indoor and outdoor dining tables.

Downstairs are two more bedrooms in separate areas. One of them has its own sitting area, and both have walls of windows that can be opened so that indoor and outdoor living are blurred, and it becomes easy to go straight from bed into the infinity pool or onto a sunbed atop the tropical-wood terrace to soak up the rays. When the heat becomes too much, cool off in the outdoor shower or rest in the covered gazebo. And should you feel like an excursion, St. Jean is just a five-minute drive away, and Grand Cul de Sac is about 15 minutes away.
